WELLKHANA KITCHEN RECIPE

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Medjool dates, pitted

  • 1/4 cup moringa powder

  • 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds

  • 1/4 cup hemp seeds

  • 1/4 cup sunflower seeds

  • 1/4 cup chia seeds

  • 1/2 cup popped amaranth

  • 1/4 cup almond butter (or any nut/seed butter)

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (dairy-free)

  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Dates: Place the pitted Medjool dates in a food processor and pulse until they form a sticky paste.

  2. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the date paste, moringa powder, pumpkin seeds, hemp seeds, sunflower seeds, chia seeds, popped amaranth, almond butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

  3. Form Bars: Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper. Transfer the mixture to the dish and press it down firmly and evenly using a spatula or your hands to create an even layer.

  4. Chill: Refrigerate the baking dish for at least 30 minutes to allow the mixture to set.

  5. Prepare Chocolate Drizzle: Combine dark chocolate chips and coconut oil in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.

  6. Drizzle: Remove the baking dish from the refrigerator. Use a spoon or a piping bag to drizzle the melted chocolate over the date bars for a more controlled drizzle.

  7. Set: Place the dish back in the refrigerator for another 10-15 minutes to allow the chocolate to set.

  8. Cut and Serve: After setting the chocolate, lift the parchment paper to remove the date bars from the baking dish. Cut the bars into your desired size.

  9. Store: Store the date bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
