In the article, Dr. Bhanote emphasized the importance of using Teflon pans correctly to avoid harmful fumes, advising, “Teflon pans can become dangerous when the temperature exceeds 500 degrees Fahrenheit.” She also recommended safer alternatives, such as stainless steel, cast iron, or ceramic cookware, which don’t release harmful fumes when heated.
