#Cellcare ingredient health benefits
BLUEBERRIES: BRAIN HEALTH BOOSTER
Blueberries are rich in anthocyanins, a class of flavonoids that provide powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. These compounds support brain health by protecting neurons from oxidative stress and reducing inflammation. Anthocyanins in blueberries also enhance cognitive function and memory, promote gut health by fostering a healthy microbiome, and help regulate the nervous system, mitigating the effects of stress.
ASHWAGANDHA: NERVOUS SYSTEM SUPPORT
Ashwagandha contains withanolides, bioactive compounds with potent adaptogenic properties that help the body manage stress. Withanolides support nervous system health by lowering cortisol levels, reducing anxiety, and promoting restful sleep. These compounds also support brain health by enhancing neuroplasticity and protecting against neurodegeneration, while their anti-inflammatory effects benefit gut health and overall resilience to stress.
CINNAMON: BLOOD SUGAR BALANCE
Cinnamon is rich in cinnamaldehyde, a phytonutrient that imparts both flavor and significant health benefits. Cinnamaldehyde helps regulate blood sugar levels, supporting brain health and reducing stress-related effects. It also exhibits strong anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, promoting gut health by reducing inflammation and supporting a balanced microbiome, which further contributes to nervous system regulation and overall wellbeing.
FLAXSEED: OMEGA-3 FOR BRAIN
Flaxseed is a prime source of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), an omega-3 fatty acid crucial for brain health and cognitive function. ALA supports the nervous system by reducing inflammation, enhancing neuronal communication, and protecting against neurodegenerative diseases. In addition, flaxseed’s high fiber content aids in digestion, promotes a healthy gut microbiome, and helps alleviate stress, further supporting mental and emotional health.
MACA: ENERGY & HORMONE BALANCE
Maca root contains macamides, unique compounds that contribute to its adaptogenic effects. Macamides help balance hormones, improve energy levels, and regulate the nervous system by enhancing mood and cognitive function. They also support gut health by promoting a balanced microbiome and improving digestion, which can reduce stress and enhance overall brain health.
WELLKHANA KITCHEN RECIPE
Ingredients:
1 ½ cups gluten-free all-purpose flour
½ cup almond flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp sea salt
1 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tbsp ashwagandha powder
½ cup coconut sugar or maple sugar
⅓ cup melted coconut oil
2 tbsp ground flaxseed (for flax eggs)
6 tbsp water (for flax eggs)
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup unsweetened almond milk (or any plant-based milk)
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
1 tsp maca powder (optional, for added adaptogen benefits)
Instructions:
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners or lightly grease with coconut oil.
Prepare Flax Eggs: In a small bowl, combine the ground flaxseed with water. Stir and let sit for 5-10 minutes until it forms a gel-like consistency.
Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the gluten-free all-purpose flour, almond flour, baking powder, baking soda, sea salt, cinnamon, ashwagandha powder, and maca powder if using.
Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, mix the coconut sugar, melted coconut oil, flax eggs, vanilla extract, and almond milk until well combined.
Combine: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, and gently fold together until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the muffins dense.
Add Blueberries: Gently fold in the blueberries, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
Fill Muffin Tin: Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about ¾ full.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 18-22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
Cool: Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Serve: Enjoy your Morning Adaptogen Blueberry Muffins warm or at room temperature. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
